Just 24 hours after the patch test, we can confidently start your journey to being hair-free. The number of sessions you’ll need varies, but on average, Brazilian Butterfly clients see a 70-80% reduction after their first 6-8 treatments. Results may differ based on individual factors, including medical history, skin type, adherence to pre/post-treatment instructions, and response to the treatment.
Preperation & Post Care
Before your IPL treatment
- Stay out of the sun or solariums for at least two weeks before your treatment. Sun exposure can lead to damaging the skin and increase the risk of pigmentation and burns
- Self tan or spray tan cannot be used for two weeks before your treatment. the dark pigment attracts the light and can result in pigmentation and discolouration of the treated area
- Please ensure the area to be treated is shaved before attending your appointment
- Do not wax of pluck for 4-6 weeks before and during the course of your treatment. removing hair from the root means there is no hair for the IPL to target, shaving ot ok between treatments
After you IPL Treatment
- Apply our BB repair gel to the treated area for the next 48 hours to help soothe the skin
- Avoid vigorous excercise and sweating for 24 hours
- After 7 days, be sure to exfoliate the treated area 2-3 times per week
